What color to paint the fireplace.? | |
Sorry the picture is not very good but the only one I had. We just bought this house and move in tomorrow. I Would like to paint the corner wall where the fireplace is but need some color ideas. As you can see the kitchen is connected and is a bright yellow color. My living room doesn't really have any sort of style to it but I have a very dark green fabric couch. I was thinking something very subtle like maybe just a tad darker then the rest of the white walls. Also, the bright yellow kitchen will probably be turned to a sage green in the futue, so nothing that clashes with that...thanks for any ideas.

btw, the wall i am speaking of is a very high ceiling that goes up to the second floor, not sure if that should make a difference with color choices or not.
Answers:
1Neutral colors like beiges and browns combine well with other tones and give the room a natural feel.
