no! the firebox & the vent pipe of a majestic gas fireplace are designed strictly for gas. if you attempt to burn wood in it you will: a) void the warranty b)violate building code c) likely cause a house fire.

why would it cause a house fire?? i dont understand that..does the wood fire get hotter then the gas fire?
